Self-Help for BPD

I know it seems impossible that something as horrible and powerful as BPD could actually be helped by a couple of self help books, but it's true. I started following The Angry Heart a little over 2 years ago and I can't even begin to describe how much it's helped. Then about 6 months ago, I heard about the DBT workbook and after reading the rave reviews, I decided to follow that one too. While I have no doubt that conventional DBT therapy and medications would work a thousand times better, these self-help books offer an alternative to those who either can't afford therapy, or who live in an area where therapy isn't available.

But I'm not going to ask you to just believe me. I suggest you follow in my footsteps and read the reviews on Amazon. The DBT skills workbook has 60 reviews and a 4.5 star rating. And The Angry Heart has 28 reviews and a 4 star rating.
